Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos has criticized the Biden administration for allowing inflation to reach record highs.
“They understandably want to muddy the topic. They know inflation hurts the neediest the most. But unions aren’t causing inflation and neither are wealthy people,” he posted on Twitter.
Bezos noted that the White House tried to add another $3.5 trillion to the federal budget. “They failed, but if they had succeeded, inflation would be even higher than it is today, and inflation today is at a 40 year high,” Amazon’s founder added.
Earlier, Joe Biden put the blame for soaring inflation on the conflict in Ukraine, as well as supply chain disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
